Session Attendance and Initial Appointment Expectations
For new clients, all intake forms and required documentation must be completed on the same day that the initial appointment fee is paid and prior to the first session.
The initial session is designed to gather comprehensive background information and develop an understanding of your unique circumstances. During this appointment, you will be asked to discuss your personal history, current concerns, patterns and challenges, previous treatment experiences, coping strategies, and goals for therapy. You will also have the opportunity to describe what you hope to achieve through the therapeutic process.
At the conclusion of the initial session, Dr. Angelina will provide clinical impressions and recommendations regarding potential treatment goals and next steps. The first appointment serves as the foundation for establishing a productive therapeutic relationship and determining whether the services offered are an appropriate fit for your needs.
Successful therapy is built upon a collaborative partnership characterized by trust, honesty, mutual respect, and active participation. Clients are encouraged to engage openly in the therapeutic process and to remain receptive to exploring new perspectives, communication styles, and approaches to personal growth.
Therapy is most effective when clients approach the process with a commitment to self-exploration and change. A guiding principle of treatment is the willingness to be Honest, Open, and Willing qualities that help foster meaningful insight, personal development, and progress toward therapeutic goals.
